How to fit a laptop skin

Useful information

1. Your laptop skin comes in an envelope like this. It's sent by recorded delivery so someone has to be around to sign for it:

3. It comes with instructions for applying or you can follow the guide on this web page:

4. Make sure the lid of your laptop is clean and free of dust and grease:

5. Start by peeling back a corner of the backing:

6. Peel back a 2cm strip along the edge of the laptop cover that will be closest to the hinge side of your laptop lid:

7. Apply the laptop skin to the lid of your computer starting from the edge nearest the hinge. Make sure you apply the cover the the right way up and not upside down!

8. Gently pull the backing paper back and smooth the laptop skin onto the computer's lid:

9. Use your hand or a duster or a ruler to ensure that you don't trap any air between the skin and the lid and create air bubbles:

10. Ease the backing paper off until it is finally free of the cover:

11. Finish smoothing the laptop skin onto the laptop's lid:

12. And here's the finished product:
